WHY WE EXIST...

OUR VISION

We perceive a future connecting indigenous Koinonia Baptist churches in Liberia serving in missional partnership to fellowship and to develop emerging leaders for incarnational church planting among the least-evangelized territories of Liberia and beyond.

OUR CORE VALUES

God’s Word - The non-negotiable, foundational Truth which is taught and lived out as the Final authority for our faith and practice, a guide by which we pattern our lives after Jesus Christ in our missional endeavors (2 Tim 3:16,17; 2 Pet 1:21)

Indigenous Agency - We are committed to starting, supporting, training, and equipping indigenous churches in their ministry context as an independent indigenous mission agency, serving member churches to grow and multiply. (Matt 28:18-20; Acts 19:1,8-10).

Scriptural Faithfulness - Unbiblical ideas and teachings have created syncretistic beliefs and practices in the body of Christ across Africa. Koinonia Baptist Association will strive to commit to biblical faithfulness and integrity, for people are set free by knowing biblical the truth. (John 8:32). We achieve this through our various training programs, annual School of Theology & Missions, and church planting mentoring activities.

Community - We value the Body of Christ operating as a community of servants, where people feel belonging, utilizing and stewarding their spiritual gifts and talents for kingdom impact. Missions is all about God’s kingdom, and in missional community we set aside competitive spirit to work alongside with local congregations to advance God’s agenda among the unreached (1 Corinthians 12 and 14; Romans 12; Ephesians 4; Psalm 133:1).

Accountability - To seek to serve God and His people to the best of our ability, thereby creating a culture of transparency and integrity. Therefore we hold each other accountable in our leadership as we build strong work ethnics, promoting ministry healthiness, and encouraging excellence at every level of personal and ministry life.
